1. Kindly tell us something about your work profile/business including yourself.

I’m Hao Tran, CEO and Co-Founder of Vietcetera. We’re a media and content company based in Ho Chi Minh City, focused on telling stories that matter to bringing Vietnam to the world, and the world to Vietnam. We operate bilingual platforms across digital content, podcasts, events, and more—covering everything from business to food, careers, and culture.

2. What made you / your company decide to develop in the Asian market, especially in Vietnam?

Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia with a young, tech-savvy population. As an American of Vietnamese heritage, I saw an opportunity to build a brand that could speak to both local and global audiences in a fresh, digital-first way. Media happened to be the medium to deliver that opportunity.

3. How has your professional career or your company’s career developed since then?

We’ve grown from a blog into a multi-brand platform reaching millions monthly. Today, Vietcetera operates leading podcasts like Vietnam Innovators and Have A Sip, produces large-scale events like Flavors Vietnam, and is expanding into vertical media brands across careers, business, music, and F&B.

4. As far as your sector stands today, what services does Vietcetera Company Limited offer to their clients?

We offer content creation, advertising, branded storytelling, media campaigns, event production, and strategy consulting for brands that want to reach Vietnam’s young consumers and emerging class of entrepreneurial business leaders and owners. We also partner with platforms and publishers to expand reach across Southeast Asia.

5. What do you think are the biggest challenges for this sector in the future?

Standing out in a crowded digital space, maintaining trust with audiences, and keeping up with fast-changing tech and platform trends—especially with AI and short-form content shifting how people consume media.

6. What type of promotional and communication campaigns do you work on?

We work with brands on full-funnel campaigns—from awareness to conversion—using video, podcast, articles, social media, and events. Clients range from global FMCGs to local startups and government agencies.

7. What is your advice to companies interested in your services?

Think long-term and audience-first. The best results come when brands co-create with media, rather than just advertise. Come to us with a clear goal, and we’ll help shape the right format and distribution.

8. Please tell us a little about future plans of your company in Vietnam.

We’re building new vertical media brands like Vietnam Innovators Digest (business), Onboardy (careers), RadioOnTV (music), and Flavors (food and travel). Under the new company corporate name, VietceteraX, we will reach more audiences and customers with focused media brands, all lovingly made with the same Vietcetera tastemaking quality. We’re also expanding our events and podcast networks to reach more communities across Vietnam and abroad.
