INTERVIEW – Ferrante Intellectual Property

November 14, 2025

1. Kindly tell us something about your work profile/business including yourself.

Ferrante Intellectual Property is a full-practice intellectual property firm with established offices in Greater China and Vietnam. The firm offers comprehensive legal services covering all aspects of intellectual property rights, licensing, consumer protection, e-commerce, and related fields in Mainland China, Vietnam and other Southeast Asia countries.

Ferrante operates in a truly multicultural environment — solving IP issues in China and Vietnam with an international perspective and serving clients from over 20 countries. The firm also maintains strong connections with high-level foreign, Chinese, and Vietnamese authorities.

2. What made your company decide to develop in the Asian market, especially in Vietnam?

Asia, particularly Vietnam, has become one of the most dynamic markets in the world, attracting major international investors and global brands. The growing awareness of intellectual property rights in the region made it a natural step for us to establish a stronger presence here. Vietnam’s role as a regional manufacturing and trade hub also makes it a crucial jurisdiction for IP protection and enforcement. By expanding into Vietnam, we can provide our clients with localized expertise combined with our deep international experience.

3. How has your professional career or your company’s career developed since then?

Since entering the Vietnamese market, Ferrante Intellectual Property has experienced consistent growth and success. Our Vietnam office works in close collaboration with our Greater China offices, enabling us to offer seamless, cross-border IP protection and enforcement solutions. We have assisted numerous international clients in safeguarding their rights and have built strong relationships with local authorities, enforcement bodies, and business associations.

4. As far as your sector stands today, what services does Ferrante Intellectual Property offer to their clients?

Ferrante Intellectual Property offers a full spectrum of IP services, including:

• Registration and enforcement of trademarks, patents, and copyrights
• Anti-counterfeiting programs and tailor-made strategies
• Market monitoring programs
• Online enforcement actions
• Investigations and raid actions
• Licensing and franchising
• Customs recordation of IPRs and customs seizures
• Training activities for MSA and customs officials
• Registration and recovery of domain names
• Civil, criminal, and administrative lawsuits

Our comprehensive approach ensures that clients receive both preventive and enforcement solutions that are practical, effective, and business-oriented.

5. What do you think are the biggest challenges for this sector in the future?

The biggest challenges lie in keeping pace with the digital economy and addressing the increasing sophistication of counterfeit networks, especially on online platforms. Continuous legal updates and regulatory reforms across different jurisdictions also require constant adaptation. In addition, raising public and corporate awareness about the importance of IP protection remains an ongoing mission for the entire sector.

6. What type of promotional and communication campaigns do you work on?

We focus primarily on professional and educational campaigns. These include publishing legal updates, participating in international IP conferences, organizing seminars and training programs for clients and enforcement authorities, and collaborating with business chambers and associations to promote IP awareness. Our communication strategy emphasizes professionalism, clarity, and commitment to client success.

7. What is your advice to companies interested in your services?

We always recommend that companies take a proactive approach to IP protection — starting with early registration of their rights and regular monitoring of the market. Taking timely action against infringements is essential to prevent damage and maintain brand reputation. Working with an experienced and reputable firm like Ferrante Intellectual Property ensures that companies receive practical, strategic, and culturally informed support in navigating complex IP systems in Asia.

8. Please tell us a little about the future plans of your company in Vietnam.

Ferrante Intellectual Property will continue to strengthen its presence and service capacity in Vietnam. We are committed to maintaining tight control over file management, delivering excellent legal results, and ensuring the highest quality of communication with clients.

Looking ahead, we aim to deepen our collaboration with Vietnamese authorities and international institutions, contribute to a stronger IP protection framework in the country, and remain a trusted partner for businesses operating in Vietnam and the wider Asian region.
